Here I will post updates on some of my activities through the year
2025:
Thanks to SuperOne, the fantastic X-Kart team and my sponsor, AutoFirma for a great 2025 season
Weather Weather Weather!!!!
Round 11: Good qualifying crossing the line P12
Heats: Very rough and tumble racing through both heats saw me knocked down the order.
Final: Started P21 but loads of overtaking got me up to P10 at the flag - a great drive
Round 12: Very changeable conditions, bright sunshine mixed with absolute downpours! Qualified P16 and pretty much stayed there through the day. Weather was so bad in the final that the race was ended early.
Round 9: Good qualifying but took a few hits in the heats and again in the final ended up finishing P21
Round 10: Whilton troubles continu...couldn't get a single clear lap in ended up qualifying 31st!!.
Heat 1: Chaos in the dummy grid as rain started to fall after we'd fitted slicks. Everyone scrambling to change to wets and make setup changes before the gate closes. Good racing in changeable conditions and I made the most of it, climbing 13 places to P18
Heat 2: Rain started again after first few laps, so now on slicks in the wet - good fun. Loving these challenging conditions I made up 12 places to finish P19.
Final: Started P20 some tough battling through the session saw me finish P14 - a fantastic finish considering I qualified P31!!
Round 7: Qulified P18, finishing P19 for heat 1 and 17th for heat 2 after chaotic starts for both heats. Started P17 in the final and finished 13th on track but got. a 5 place penalty for another dropped nose.
Round 8: Had mechanical issues in qualifying and had to come in early so qualified p29! Loads of overtaking in the heats though...finished P17 in heat 1 and 13th in heat 2. Started P12 in the final and loads of good battling through the final saw me finish P13.
Round 5: Qualified P17. Finished 16th in heat 1 after getting knocked off track. Got taken out again in the second heat crossing the line 23rd. Started 19th for the final and managed to get in a few good laps and overtakes finishing P12 ang was the Rookie Winner!
Round 6: Got stuck in traffic and qualified 21st, finishing 28th after getting caught up in a big crash. Good second heat getting from 21st to 13th. Started in 20th for the final but another first corner incident saw me blocked on the track crossed the line 21st, but from the first lap incident i was carrying a dropped nose so got a 5 place penalty!
Round 3: Grid of around 35, I qualified 20th and finished P18 in both heats. I started P16 in the final and finished P12 - Rookie Winner!!!
Round 4: Couldn't get out of traffic till the last flying lap and then got knoecked in the twisty section - ended up P27 not a great start to the day! Finished 21st in heat 1, 20th in heat 2 and due to an incident in the final finished 24th.
Round 1:
Qualified P15: I feel this was a good 1st qualifying given the strength of the field!
Heat 1: P15 to P11 (but got a 5 place penalty for a dropped nose)
Heat 2: Massive crash!!!...two karts collided in front of me which saw me getting sandwiched between them and the pack behind me - kart in a sorry state so couldn't take part when it re-started - DNF!!
Final: Started P24 and finished P15 on-track - loads of overtakes...but another nose drop so a 5-place penalty!
The team found the reason for the nose drops and replaced the weak brackets.
Round 2:
Qualified P14!
Heat 1: Unfortunately starting on the outside I lost 5 places at the start but managed to get myself back up to P14 by the end of the 7 minute round
Heat 2: P14 to P12
Final: Started P13, gained a couple of places but a last lap incident saw me knocked back to P13.
Overall a great 1st weekend in SuperOne and with my new team, X-Kart who have been amazingly supportive and great fun to drive with.
2024:
5-6/10/24
Final round of the season at the fantastic Whilton Mill circuit.
The gremlins of GYG seemd to have followed us and i struggled to find the last few 10ths needed through practice and into Qualifying where i ended up 12th...but the top 2 were disqualified so this became 10th so manging to keep my season achievemnt of being in the top 10!.
Unfortunately on Sunday the weather was quite damp which resulted in a difficult racing surface so the race day was more determined by accidents and crashes than anything else. In the warm up I had to take avoiding action at turn 2 due to spinning karts which saw me head-first into the wall-not the best start to the day. More of this continued through the heats but i managed to hold my own and ended up P8 on the grid for the final. Then several hits to my back end and side in a row saw me knocked down to P13. I limped on for a few more laps until another kart lost control and took me out completely with a bent rear axle and dislodged chain - so my first DNF of the season!.
21-22/09/24
In contrast to Llandow this was a a tough weekend!...plagued by gremlins all saturday and in Quali which meant a P10 was the best i could achieve Changed parts overnight and in the warm up on Sunday things seemed better. Through the heats I managed to gain five places but then got hit and dropped back down a lot. I got a few spots back ending up finishing P9, so my lowest finish of the season, but still in the top 10!. Overall results aside it was a good weekends battling and as always - useful experience!
31st Aug-1st Sept 24
Best weekend of the season!!!!....leading the field all practice as the only driver to get into the 44s lap times - which i did consistently. Placed P1 in all the practices and then put it on pole by 1/4 of a second.
In the first heat I pulled away and crossed the line 6 seconds ahead of P2. Things didnt go quite so well in the pre-final though...again leading from pole i got pushed wide by someone making an 'enthusiastic' late braking manouever - I manged to keep going but had to settle for 5th.
Due to the points aggregation I started the grand final on pole, being nervous of getting tagged I made the first mistake of the weekend and pushed too hard on cold tyres which meant i drifted a bit wide and got overtaken. Through the remainder of the final, 1st place and I dropped the pack and we had a good battle to the finish - i tried a few passes into the hairpin but was very happy to finsh P2 in the end.

P4 finish at Rissy - my highest so far. Crazy close racing all day but still very clean from all drivers. I've got my eyes on a podium for next round at Hooton Park.

Heat: P6 > P5
Pre-Final: P5 > P4
Grand Final: P6 > P4
